I am an advertising writer and creative director for whom painting is a mid-life discovery. My home is in Fairfield County, Connecticut and i commute to midtown Manhattan.  There is a lot of visual inspiration along that daily corridor. My works are primarily in oil, simple stories in landscape, portraiture and occasional figure painting. Accidental, unexpected passages of color especially intrigue me.  I can best sum up my paintings with a borrowed passage from John Steinbeck's Red Pony. It's the reflection of an old wagon train master who recalls his perilous journeys and explains to his grandson: "I tell those stories, but they are not what i want to tell. I only know how i want people to feel when i tell them."
