I love to paint!.... well most of the time. I've painted "large" and "tight" for years. For me, this all too often translates into a laborious and stressful painting experience; in other words, NO FUN. Fortunately, I've discovered Daily Painting! I read Carol's book in a day, and well, here I am! Looking to loosen up, learn everything I can, and have fun!

Like many artists, I have no formal art education. I've attended various classes and workshops, but figured a lot of things out for myself (aka, recreated the wheel!) Oil is my choice of medium, though I'll pick up acrylics and watercolor occasionally. Still lifes inspire me, especially when they capture a mood or a sense of a moment. I've found the same inspiration from figurative work.

I absolutely love loose and/or abstract work! BOTH allude me!
