Watercolor! Paint the Water's Shimmer (Florida)

9:00am-12:00pm. Nothing is more mesmerizing than watching the light on water. This workshop will teach you how to create that effect. What you learn can be used in any medium, but watercolor lends itself to this subject matter. You are painting with water after all! You will learn basic transparent watercolor techniques, such as wet on wet, lifting out, dry brush, glazing, while using white gouache as a final highlight to enhance the sparkles. This particular harbor is incidental, so you can change the background silhouette if you choose. No worries if you can't draw, as a copy of the boat is provided to transfer onto your painting. Great class for beginners, as techniques are taught step by step. All supplies are included!

Watercolor! Paint the Marco Coast

No experience necessary as this fun 3 hour class is perfect for beginners!
This is an illustrative approach to painting: a great way to sketch and record your travels. You can draw the coast line or use a template you will trace and transfer to your watercolor paper. Step-by-step, we will paint the background in washes, then outline in ink the palms, sea shore, sea grapes, pelicans, and people. Experienced painters will learn graduated washes and how to selectively ink areas with various patterns.
All supplies are included!

Watercolor! Paint the Beach Fence

9:00 am-12:00 pm. Let's paint the path to the beach! The half buried picket fence on a beach is iconic as the lighthouse on the coast. In this painting it creates great shadows and a path down to the water's edge. Beginners can draw freehand, or transfer a drawing of the fence and shoreline. This workshop will teach the basic steps of painting a landscape, the fundamental techniques of watercolor, and using white gouache to highlioght. Experienced painters can create their own composition, using the fence as the primary subject matter. All supplies are included !

Watercolor! Collage

1:00pm-4:00pm. This is the most fun and creative watercolor workshop you will ever have. It s a must for beginners! We will learn the basic watercolor techniques; wet on wet, graduated washes, dry brush, just to name a few. Then, choosing a subject from a magazine clipping or a photo, we will create a background for it with watercolor. Make it realistic or dreamlike. Express your imagination! Collage Images are provided, but I encourage you to bring personal photos or clippings. This is a great for someone who does not feel comfortable drawing, but wants to visually express their ideas. Experienced painters can creates wild images or a mockup for a larger painting. This workshop is guaranteed a good time!All supplies are included...but feel free to bring your own pics to collage.
