I’m Kayko Stanton, a native of Japan. I received a Bachelor of Arts education degree from Chiba University, Japan. After coming to the United States I continued my education and received my Master’s degree in Art Education at Florida International University in Miami. I was fortunate to study under the fabulous FIU professor David Chang. Since then I have also joined Dr. Chang at his workshops in France as well as China. I continue to spend many hours perfecting and expanding my techniques, including attending workshops with gifted artists around the world.

All of my paintings shown here are my originals in oil or watercolor. I love Vincent van Gogh. I have tried to travel everywhere he lived and paint where he painted. In homage to Vincent, some areas of my painting are intended to be reminiscent of a Van Gogh painting. Yet each is modified to fit into my original work and none are exactly the same.
