I am a Tennessee-based fine artist whose vibrant, impressionistic paintings are inspired by the natural world and the joy of personal expression. After over 30+ years as an award-winning hobbyist in decorative painting, I made a shift into fine art. This transition reflects both a personal evolution and a deepening artistic voice.
My work is rooted in a love for nature, memory, and movement. Drawing on my background in decorative arts, I bring a seasoned eye for composition and color to my impressionist-inspired pieces while embracing a more intuitive and experimental process. My paintings often explore natural landscapes, urban scenes, and fleeting moments of light—offering viewers both aesthetic pleasure and thoughtful engagement. My work continues to evolve as I explore new mediums, collaborations, and teaching and learning opportunities.
I recently retired from my previous career as a medical practice administrator and financial director, and I am focused on turning my long-time passion for creating art into a full-time pursuit—dedicated to sharing my vision, connecting with others, and inspiring the next generation of artists.
