As a descendant of one of California's earliest ranch families, Leigh paints daily to record and preserve the rural landscape of Californias coastline and foothills. An active painter in the Santa Barbara area , always up for a paintout around the coastline, in remote wilderness and even on the Channel Islands where her leg was broken while painting! While recovering she has painted over 200 paintings in 2011 and still painting in 2017! Leigh is the Exhibit chair for SCAPE, Southern California Artists painting for the Environment. Work can be viewed on her blogspot and Fine Art Studio Online, at the Santa Barbara Beach Art show every Sunday and her new gallery EN PLEIN AIR GALLERY and studio at 961 Linden Ave in Carpinteria.
