Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century
January 22 - March 12, 2026
Dear Friends,
Joseph Brady and I (Lisa Dubitsky) are thrilled to participate in Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century.
This Is the 16th annual international juried competition hosted by the Clatsop Community College Royal Nebeker Art Gallery in Astoria, Oregon, with a focus on the time-honored tradition of the nude human figure, an art form that continues to inspire and challenge many artists today as one of the most potentially rewarding subjects to explore. This exhibit represents a wide range of interpretations of the human figure from representational to abstract, and is open to all artists from around the world working in any drawing, painting, and printmaking media in which the handmade mark is employed as the primary means of image-making.
Exhibition Dates:
The exhibit will open for viewing from January 22 through March 12, 2026. My entry shown here is called "21st Century Book Club". It was inspired by Manet and our evolving gender roles; painted in oils on a gallery wrapped canvas sized 30x48". Joseph and I plan to attend the reception. Also, there will be an opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award. We hope you are able to enjoy this one-of-a-kind show!
Reception and Awards Presentation:
