"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork." (Psalm 19:1, KJV)
I've always been drawn to dramatic skies, but I've never been quite able to capture one in paint. I try though!
My journey into art began with acrylics 20 years ago as a craft to fill empty walls in my husband's office. Since then, I've had a few sessions with real artists in my local vicinity in central Mississippi. In 2020, I took advantage of the pandemic's lockdowns to produce fine art landscapes, still life works, and even portraiture.
Since my nest has emptied, I've begun traveling extensively with my husband and painting from my travel photos. I also work on commissions every once in a while.
Art is my therapy. I'm exhausted from a day of it but oh, so fulfilled! I hope that the handiwork I produce reflects the Maker of all things and brings joy to those who see it.
