Oil painting with a palette painting knife with oil on board, laying the paint down, mixing it as I paint creating a textured surface with multiple color variations.  Painting with a brush in an impasto style is also a favorite laying down the paint in a thicker manner. 

The beautiful transparency of watercolor has the effects of the colors swimming and blending on the paper is like magic. 

Encaustic wax painting is very relaxing manipulating layers of pigment-colored wax mixed with beeswax and resin.  It has both transparency and opacity making its many layers possible, fusing each layer as the painting progresses.

Painting brings a smile to my face, hope my art brings a smile to yours.
