The reference for this selinium ruby glass swan is a photograph of a swan punchbowl created by my great grandfather, Hjalmar Gulbranson (1878-1981), a master glassblower who emigrated from Norway to the U.S. in 1904. The entire family of swans, comprised of a mother, which was the actual punchbowl, and 4 identical babies was blown approximately 75 years ago at Pairpoint Glass. The mother is in the New Bedord Glass Museum. The remaining babies are in private collections.
