I was instantly drawn to this woman's quiet beauty and inner strength the moment I saw her. And it wasn't until I got close enough to study her for this portrait (not a commission, purely to feed my artist's soul) that I realized she had heterochromia, her eyes were two different colors. This is still one of my favorite portraits I've ever painted. Such a classic beauty.
