A bumblebee caught mid-flight between lavender plants in my Sheffield back garden. A warm August afternoon, there and gone in seconds. Not a carefully planned photograph, just a moment that came out well enough to paint. Painted in oils on a 6×6″ Ampersand Gessobord panel in a single session.
