My peonies will start blooming in a few days but I couldn't wait to paint one so I used my photo references from years ago. Peonies are beautiful and so challenging due to all their subtle colors and delicate nature. I paint peonies for the love of peonies and when its successful it makes me happy that I could capture that beauty.
