Many years ago, I was walking my dalmatian on the beach in So. Florida when the sand started to bubble up. We went over to check it out. A nest of small loggerhead turtles had hatched, and the little ones were digging their way out and scurrying to the water. My dog and I watched and protected them until they all had made it to the ocean. It was such an inspiring sight that I immediately went to the studio and produced an artwork with an image of these little turtles. It has become one of my favorite memories and subjects.
