Media: Watercolor and collage on Antique Dictionary page
Size: 9x11 in
Size: 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 in (210 x 297 mm A4) Created 2022 in The Netherlands. Please look at my recent video to see how I work. It was filmed in The Netherlands a few months ago. I use metallic ink pen. As well as I use the "Uni-ball" color (white) ink pen on these artworks. The collage is from an antique Websters Dictionary from the 1940s, I created a rough print and then I trace over the print (A technique from watching Andy Warhol videos) with metallic pen and then I carefully glue the antique dictionary page to follow the lines of the artwork... It is time consuming technique but the effect is quite unique, and I like being able to create the same way Andy Warhol would do.... I am the onlly music inspired artist working this way. If you Google my name "Easton Davy" you will see that I have been creating music inspired artwork for over 25 years and I am represented by galleries in Philadelphia, Detroit, New Jersey, and The Caribbean. I also have my artwork on permanent display and for sale in New York City through The Allerton Art Gallery in the heart of Chelsea NYC. I use thick watercolor paper that is also archival paper. Each is one of a kind, I am represented in The Nethrelands, Philadelphia, and The Caribbean. I have been creating these types of collage, mixed medium artworks since 2021 during the Covid19 Lockdowns.... I was inspired by Andy Warhol who also worked on top of his reproductions to make unique one of a kind artworks. I hope to make these artworks a larger size, but for now I like to work small so they are easier to ship and I can ship for free this way. I hope you enjoy my artworks, I am always creating and feel free to ask me any questions. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!
