Media: Acrylic paint on canvas with gold accents
Size: 36x24 in
"Fortitude"24" x 36" x 3/4"I've been experimenting with doing some abstracts... they've always intimidated me. Like, what do you paint...? At least with realism, the object is THERE. You know what to paint, BECAUSE IT'S THERE! Haha... Abstracts are just so... open. But slowly I'm allowing myself to not be so tightly wound with my brush and it's actually been really fun! The black in this piece reminds me of the strength people need to get through life's rough spots, along with the gold that is a reminder of the good that can sometimes be a result of the struggles. Hence the name, Fortitude.
