Media: Oil painting of my koi pond with water lilies.
Size: 9x12 in
This is an oil painting of my koi and water lilies pond outside my studio. It's a peaceful retreat with a wrought iron bench on the side. It is shaded by a wild cherry tree, lilacs and aspens which have spread from my front yard. The birds that visit have been inspiration for half a dozen calendars published nationally. This pond has also been a great fishing hole for the Sharp-Shinned Hawk that lives in the wild park next to us and visits regularly to take his bath and see what meal he can take away by diving claws first into the water.
