Mona was so much fun to paint and I enjoyed
the challenge of trying something new. It's been ages since I last
painted a flower, and it was interesting how similar the wings were to
painting trees. Plus orange is one of my favorite colours (I use it in
most of my under-paintings) and I've never tried an insect before. I'm
glad I went outside my comfort zone
