This painting is part of an ongoing series for my blog POSTCARDS FROM MERION. Each month I visit a different state on Google maps and find an image to represent the state to paint. This image is a combination of several images. I wanted it to have a mountain, use colors that felt cold and lonely. Half the proceeds from the sale of the painting go to the ACLU.
