Have you heard of The Race to Alaska (R2AK)? It's a race that starts in Port Townsend, Washington and ends in Ketchikan, Alaska. All vessels entered in the race must not have an engine, but instead rely on the wind (sails) or muscle (paddling, pedaling) to compete. It is crazy fun watching these teams. We knew someone doing the race and our daughter knew a few of the competitors too. The places that these boats travel through are absolutely stunning! I'm already looking forward to next year's R2AK! (Not competing...no thank you! Just a fan!)
