Day 1 of the 30 in 30 challenge. I have challenged myself this year to finish 30 of my unfinished paintings. So I'll also post what the painting looked like when I started. This one was from a photo reference I took in Florence several years ago. I just loved the photo! I thought it was so cool the way the women looked like they were glowing in front of these menacing looking men. I started this painting a few years ago and became very frustrated with it and put it in my pile of "starts". When I pulled it out today it needed some major reconstructive surgery.
