I started painting this artichoke flower in 2023, when a friend invited some of us over to show us how to prepare and eat artichokes. I think I became bored with the petals. This painting had been sitting in a the pile of unfinished work ever since. I recently retrieved it and finally finished it. Who knew that "funky vegetable" i passed over in the supermarket was actually the flower and was delicious!
