I did this plein air oil study for a video I produced about oil vs. watercolor painting. I demonstrate painting this on site and then evaluate the paitning in my studio, making a few adjustments. Then I demonstrate painting a watercolor using this as a study...kind of backwards I know. But there is a lot to learn from this exercise.
