Waiting canoe is an 11x14 oil painting done on professional canvas panel. The piece was painted en plein air (on site) at Riverview Park in Sebastian, Florida with final touches done later in the studio. The canoe pulled up under trees waiting for someone to return captured my interest right away. The cool grey of the boat blending with the water and sand was a mystery. Many people came by, one even sitting beside it as they took a break from bicycling; another taking their dog for a swim; but none returning to claim the Waiting Canoe.
