"Familia Nueva" was inspired by an experience I had. We were staying at an rv park in Arizona. Next to the road was a flimsy nest about 3 feet from the ground in a large cholla. The morning doves were diligent in their care. One night there was a terrible rain and windstorm the next morning I went and checked on them and the nest survived! Two babies eventually hatched and successfully fledged. This painting was accepted into the 63rd Art and the Animal show at the Stifel Fine Arts Center, Wheeling WV. and also traveled and was hung in 3 other museums in the past year. "Familia Nueva" is a 12" x 12" x 5/8" cradled wood board, oil painting and framed with a beautiful wood frame. Please contact me if you want to see pictures of the frame.
