Poppies are beautiful flowers. Their voluminous flower petals have so much space for color. I really enjoyed putting the red paint on as bright as I could get it. In contrast the leaves felt small and detailed with all the sharp and ruffled edges. 'Poppy' is pen/watercolor on watercolor paper. This painting is unframed and shipped in an envelope.
