I believe it was a Sunday morning, quite early, when my husband and I ventured out to ride a double-decker bus in Hong Kong. We sat in the front seat of the upper deck with a clear view of what was ahead of us. We hadn't made a plan, so we didn't know where the bus was going (except away from the center of Kowloon where our hotel was!). We rode it "out" and then got off and then spent the morning on a meandering walk heading "back" to where we were pretty sure our hotel was. We have often done this type of adventure in foreign cities, where we drive "somewhere" or take a bus or subway "somewhere" and discover a lot about how people really live in these various places. These adventures often become some of our best memories.
