I enjoy painting statues, including this one of Paolo Sarpi which is located in the Campo Santa Fosca Square in Venice. Emilio Marsili created this one in 1892. Venice is beautiful, despite what you hear about the crowds. Colors in the original may vary slightly from the photo. Painted on 8" x 10" gessobord with acrylic paints, finished with a light varnish.
