When I was a kid I spent countless hours on the roof of our house. I'd climb up the loquat tree and make that shingled surface my kingdom. One of my favorite spots was behind the chimney where I could not be seen (or found) from below. I took all kinds of things up there...dolls, Hitchcock Mystery Magazines, umbrellas (to slow my descent when I jumped off of the roof), snacks, and friends on occasion. I was thinking of this special spot as I painted this. Blog post: http://www.kaliparsons.com/2021/12/behind-chimney.html
