The title of this piece comes from the poem "Hummingbirds" by Norman Dubie, internationally acclaimed poet and chair of my MFA thesis in creative writing at Arizona State University. This piece will be on display at the Piper Writers Center on the ASU campus through July 28, 2024 and is part of my first solo exhibition, "Hummingbirds: Paintings Inspired by the Poetry of Norman Dubie."
