Size: 15x15 in
Two vibrantly-colored peonies with shades of peach, coral, pink, red, lavender, and yellow are painted in a "break-out" style. Watercolors were painted on top of a gesso-coated 140 lb cold press watercolor paper. The gesso was applied thickly and there are textural marks in the gesso, adding an interesting dimension to this painting. (Frame not included, for illustration only)
