Media: Acrylic on 300 lb. watercolor paper, mounted on cradled wood panel
Size: 6x6 in
This whimsical "Southwest Oaks" autumn forest landscape is part of a series of "drip tree" paintings that I have created with different themes. A paint drip technique is initiated to indicate tree trunks, paint is spattered to form the leaves, then the trees, background, and sky are outlined. Acrylics are painted onto a heavy 300 lb. watercolor paper, which is then mounted on a cradled birch wood panel.
