My favorite time of year is spring! I wait all year to see the peonies bloom. My goal was to capture the light glowing through the delicate petals while showing off the beautful versatility of the pastel medium. This is a large piece (for me) at 20 x 16 inches. It was painted on LuxArchival paper that I first toned red. It is old framed under anti-relective glass in a wide bacl with gold frame.
