It was time to clean the studio today and I came across this study of a pear from a few years ago when I had students. I wanted to show them some simple approaches to painting a piece of fruit. Pears are a classic still life subject. For me, it’s about all the fun shapes pears come in. I included a sample image of how it will look on a wall.
