I found this beautiful spot in a nature preserve to paint at. At some point there was a large amount of rustling sounds coming from the tall weeds. I was waiting for a deer to pop its head up, but it never did. I love being out in nature like this. You notice so many more things when you take some time to just stay quietly in one spot, versus walking. I did have a very persistent spider walking up to my painting over and over again. A few days later when I opened my paintbox, another spider came climbing out. So that was a lesson learned; check for hitchhikers.
