This is a plein air painting I did on a cloudy, 29F day. It is one of only a handful winter plein airs I've done. It was not so much the cold that bothered me, but the way paint handles when it is that cold. I got about two thirds of the way through the painting, and then finished it at home, mostly adding the snow. This is one of my favorite parks, Treman State Park, and has been the subject of many of my paintings! This is a plein air painting I did on a cloudy, 29F day.
