A small master study painted from Joaquín Sorolla’s stunning 1908 work, “After the Bath” (created just before my visit to the Norton Museum of Art). Let me tell you, I am so inspired by all of Sorolla’s tiny paintings. He apparently created thousands of these little gems, called jottings or “apuntes”. I LOVE THEM ALL- was so excited to see them alongside the biggies! Like little masterful jewels, so fresh and spontaneous. I shall paint more small ones!
