In the fields in March. The ground was becoming soft underfoot as it thawed, and the air smelled like spring. The patches of snow were becoming smaller and smaller, and the blackbirds were back, singing in the treetops. The cloud patterns were interesting that night, hiding and revealing the waxing moon as they moved overhead.
This painting is varnished, and is unframed.
