I started this piece on March 24 and had planned to lighten up the background the next day. That evening my north Mississippi neighbors in the MS delta towns of Rolling Fork and Silver City had a massive tornado hit their cities. Reports are coming in that Rolling Fork was destroyed, and lives were lost as we are learning. I decided to leave the background of my painting dark because it represents the darkness of the destruction from the tornado and daffodils represent new beginnings. If you look closely, there is a very faint sparrow behind my signature. The sparrow represents God's love. I know He is in the midst of all these hurting people giving them comfort. God says, "So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7 10% of the purchase price will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief.
