Found an odd shaped paper in a stash a friend gave me, rough enough to be Wallis, so I decided to do one of my favorites of Latimer's redwood forest paintings, my version of it. When I started painting, I realized that it may be a homemade surface with gesso. I do love rough surface; this was no exception. Now I want to take a trip to Mendocino!
