I love how the knife let me capture the almost abstract quality of this one. Clean, crisp strokes brought out the drama like nothing else. I feel that sometimes a painting is about the paint itself as much as the apparent subject. The texture of the paint on the surface as well as the handling of it; the strokes and edges.
