One of my favorite subject matters are shells! These shells (whelk and clam) were collected at Emerald Isle NC. I love the natural raised lines especially on the whelk shells. For this watercolor, I used the process of poured watercolor - which is a watercolor strategy that allows the colors to mix on the paper. This painting is mounted on a birch panel with a 1 1/2 inch profile and ready to hang! Thanks for taking a look! One of my favorite subject matters are shells!
