Corolla, NC is famous for their wild ponies. They roam the dunes and beaches of Corolla on the OuterBanks of North Carolina. They often stay behind the dunes among the live oaks for the night and most of the day, but in the afternoon, they make their trek to the water's edge and walk the beach or just stand there in the wet sand before they return to the dunes. I've been going to the Outer Banks for over 25 years and seeing these horses has never gotten old. Corolla, NC is famous for their wild ponies.
