Getting a likeness sometimes comes easily but other times can be a bit of a grueling process. But when I finally get it, almost a physical reaction happens in me—something clicks, my insides relax, and my breathing becomes easier. Of course, one little brush stroke at any point can ruin things altogether, but once I get it the first time, I know I can get it back.
