I'm taking an abstract class at the local art center - no real instruction, other than "have fun"....if it's not fun you're not doing it right....that's what our guide Edward said. The supply list included very large professional paper, a first for me. The first night's attempt was a unhappy flop - no fun was had! Finally I had to let go of my little paint brushes. And it became better. But this one was fun! Beachy colors....put some mica-infused acrylics on it....gave it a sparkly sand feel. It is framed, because I found the perfect frame, sand-colored. I did have to trim the painting a bit to fit the frame, but worth it! Outside of frame is 19.5 by 24 inches. Painting is matted...opening of matting is 15.5 by 20 inches. Painting itself is about 16 by 22 inches.
