Working through some more lessons in Mark Daniel Nelson's book, 50 More Small Paintings - this one I followed his steps and ended up with a something I thought was atrocious...but then it grew on me. The color selections were not ones I would make on my own. Mark advises to mix dark greens by mixing Mars Black and Yellow, what? Yes, it works. I thought the shadows were too out there, but now I think it's really innovative. I might need to do this one again, it was kind of like learning a magic trick. The little 3x3 inch painting comes with the little easel, ready for display!
