Industrial Design

While driving around on the back roads of rural Pennsylvania, I came upon a field with abandoned Reading Railroad cars. This painting is one of a series of close-ups where I focused on the interesting abstract quality of the rusted metal and the shadows cast by the sunlight falling across the peeling paint and pitted surfaces of one of the old train cars.

This is an original watercolor painted on 140lb CP 100% Cotton Rag Paper. I use professional grade Winsor Newton watercolors on archival watercolor paper. The painting measures 5" x 7". It is matted and ready to frame in a standard 8" x 10"frame.
