I decided to take a fresh approach to painting irises. I am a big fan of batiks. I begin by drawing the lines using a resist. After the painting is dry I remove the resist revealing the white watercolor paper. I hope you like this bold colorful watercolor using white outlines.

This watercolor painting is sold unframed and without a mat. The painting measures 11" x 13" It was painted on 140lb CP 100% Cotton Rag Paper. I used professional grade Winsor Newton watercolors on archival watercolor paper.
