Nuts & Bolts

One day while driving around on the back roads of rural Pennsylvania, I came upon a field with abandoned Reading Railroad railroad cars. This painting is one of a series of close-ups where I focused on the interesting abstract quality of the rusted metal and the shadows cast by the sunlight falling across the peeling paint and pitted surfaces of the train. I hope you like it.

This is an original watercolor painted on 140lb CP 100% Cotton Rag Paper. I use professional grade Winsor Newton watercolors on archival watercolor paper. The painting measures 7.25" x 10.75". It is matted and ready to frame in a standard 11" x 14" frame.
