For a painter who's spent most of his life among the coastal waters and bayous of the Gulf Coast, the warm red and orange bluffs of Caprock Canyon in West Texas almost seems like another world entirely. It's a refreshing and challenging change of scene. . "Desert Dreams #2, Caprock Canyon" is an unframed 8" x 8" gouache painting on paper. I add a light coat of varnish to my gouache paintings which gives them a slight sheen and helps protect the surface. Just pop it into a frame of your choosing to hang.
